Judge Brannan Arrives in the CityFrom Muscatine.Judge Brannan opened court again at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Nothing of importance had transpired up to the time of going to press.Bertha Martens filed a petition for divorce from her husband, Claus Martens. today. The couple were married j in this city April 29,1899, and lived together as husband and wife until the 22nd day of June, on which day the I defendant abscounded. Plaintiff states | that the whereabouts of the defendant | are unknown to her.
