NEW LAWS ON MARRIAGES AND DIVORCESNew marriage and divorce laws, aimed to strike at the heart of the divorce evil in tin* United States, have been drafted for introduction in the next Missouri legislature, as well as in the legislatures of the other states of the Union.Under the proposed statutes, a court having probate jurisdiction may refuse to permit a marriage license to be issued, in this event the affianced parties could not be married.Parties desiring to be married must make application for a marriage license at least five days before the license shall be issued.
