Laura A. RosentraterPLEASANT GAP - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg, for Laura A. Rosentrater, 89, a resident of The Oaks, Pleasant Gap, and formerly of Woodland, who died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at 1:25 p.m. at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.The Rev. Peter C. Hutchinson will officiate.Interment will be at Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Born Nov. 26,1913, in Munson, she was a daughter of Michael and Louise (Kujat) Rockey.She was a 1932 graduate of Cooper Township High School.Mrs. Rosentrater was a homemaker. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, and a former teacher and superintendent of the church Sunday school.On Aug. 13,1938, in Clearfield, she wed Willard Rosentrater, who survives in Pleasant Gap.Also surviving is a daughter, Irene R. Ferguson of State College; a son, Michael D. Rosentrater and his wife, Brenda, of Ozark, Ala.; two granddaughters, JaniceFerguson of Warriors Mark and Rutn Walden of Ozark; and two great-grandchildren.Mrs. Rosentrater was the last of her generation, being preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters; and three brothers.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Laurel and Third streets, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
