Howard GuthrieERIE, Pa, — Howard L. Guthrie, 61, formerly of DuBois, died Friday at Hamot Medical Center in Erie. He resided at 7300 Station Road, Erie.Born in Redbank, Pa., July 6, 1925, he was the son of the late Lester and Nannie Nale Guthrie. He married Loretta Bundy, who survives.He lived in Erie the past 38 years.An electrical tester with General Electric, he was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club and a union steward. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in World War II.In addition to his wife, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Susan) Butler of London, Ohio; a son, Norman L. Guthrie of Lawrence Park, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Williams of DuBois; and two granddaughters.He was preceded in death by a sister.The funeral service was held Monday in Erie with interment following in Wintergreen GorgeCemetery.
