SUES FOR DIVORCE.Mr. and Mrs. Truxton Beale CanNot Live Together.SO THEY DECIDE TO SEPARATE.The Action Will lie Brought by Mrs. Truxton Beale, the Daughter of the Tate Janies G. Blaine, and Will Not Be Opposed by the Husband—Besides Opposing Temperaments the Money Question Is Said to Have Cut a Figure.New York, Oct. 26.—A Washington •pecial to The Journal says:“Mrs. Truxton Beale, who was MissHattie Blaine, has left her husband as a fin ality, and the separation, it is rumored, will culminate in a divorce. She will bug for the divorce, alleging incompatibility, and he will make no resistance. Mr. Beale has gone to South America inMRS. TRUXTON BEALE.t?io interest of the Studebaker Wagon company of Indiana. He informed some of his friends here of his intended trip and its purpose prior to his departure, and also declared that he would offer no opposition to an application for divorce on the part of his wife. Mrs. Beale has rejoined her mother in Maine. They Could Not Agree.“It appears that almost from the time of their honeymoon disagreements have arisen between this couple. Mrs. Beale left her husband some months ago and went to her mother. At that time she yielded to the earnest advice and persuasions of her friends and returned to him, but not to remain very long. She is now said by her friends to be determined in her purpose to seek a legal separation. Sho has resisted all influence seeking a restoration of her marital relations so stubbornly that efforts to that end have been abandoned.“In addition to the friction of opposing temperaments between Mr. and Mrs. Beale, it is said that money questions have caused trouble. Mr. Beale is by no means independently rich, his mother having control of the estate, and his wife is in the same dependent position, Mrs. Blaine having been left the solo custodian of the property and monoj’ of the late sec rotary of stato.Mothcrs-ln-Law Disagreed.“It is assorted that Mrs. Blaine has contended that Mrs. Beale ought to provide liberally for Truxton and his wife, and that Mrs. Beale has maintained that Mrs. Blaine should open her purse to her daughter. However, even if this were true, it is asserted, the potential cause of the separation is irremediable incompatibility. It is understood that the application for divorce will be filed in the courts of Washington. The invariable practices of the judges here is to seal up the papers in divorce cases and deny all access to reporters. Hence the secrets, if there be any, which prompt divorces, are sealed up in the fireproof safes of the courts here. Mrs. Blaine has leased her mansion to Mrs. Westinghouse, and will, upon her return to Washington, reside with her daughter, Mrs. Beale, in apartments.’*
