Mr. C. C. Cocroft Awarded First | Decree in Divorce Case—The October terra of Superior Court continued to try civil cases today. The principal case disposed | of was the suit for divorce hrough | by C. C. Cocroft against his wife,' Mrs. Nellie Weldon Cocroft. The J case had been tried one time but was reversed on two points and sent back for a rehearing. The matter as far as possible wan adjusted between the two parlies and on the. evidence submitted today the first decree was award* d to 0. Cocrofi by the jury. Then* was no contest of the evidence and the matter was J settled in a very short time. [The grand jury was proceeding j with a large number of small mat i ters that were presented for hearing [ before that body. It is expected;^ Ithat they will conclude the deliber*! ations tomorrow with the general.j presentments submitted to the court.A few indictments have been return ed into court by that body.
