DECREE SPOKEN.Unhappy Nuptial Knot Sundered There* by- Mrs Harriet Blaine Beale is AgainFree.AUGUSTA, Me, Oct 20-The absolute divorce of Harriet Blaine Beale of this city from her husband, Truxton Beale of Washington, which was decreed today in the supreme Judicial court before Judge White house, was anotherchapter in the unhappy history of theBlaine family.Mrs Beale is the youngest daughter of the late James G. Blftlne and was married to Truxton Beale, who belongs to a highly respected family in Washington, April 13, 194. The ceremony took place at Washington and was attended by all the prominent society people of that city.Kvery one thought that “Miss Hat-an ehe Is known here, had made abrilliant match, and all her friends werepleased at her elidedt good fortune.But a year ago last winter, on a visithomo. It was evident that she and herhusband w ere not getting along happilytogether, and for the past year she andher husband have not lived together. Itwas given out her© in Augusta that MrBeal© waa not able or would not support his wife, and Mn Blaine was not willing to support him.The divorce proceedings ha\e been kept very quiet, and very few knew proceedings had been begun until the decree was granted late this afternoon.The process was served on Mr Beale at Washington by U S Marshal Albert T. Wilson, Oct 3. The libel states that Mr Beale, While being of •ult;flcfent ability, has cruelty neglected to providesuitable mtintenarce for his wife.One child has been born to them,namely, Walker Blaine Beale, aged » months. Mrs Beale asked that the custody of the child be given to her, and the Judge decided to do so. Mrs Beale relinquishes ail right of dower and any and all claims on bet* husband’s property.
