Diaz-Lara is accused of unlawfully possessing cocaine on Oct. 9.Pedro Martinez, 20,554 S. Hussey Road, was sentenced Oct. 4 on one count fourth-degree assault. The sentence included $200 in court costs, $135.40 in sheriff fees, $500 to the crime victims compensation fund, $775 in attorney fees, $1,000 violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act fee, 365 days in the county jail with 335 days suspended, 30 days converted to Department of Corrections work crew, 12 months probation and restitution to be determined. On Sept 20 Martinez pleaded guilty to touching another person in a way that was reasonably offensive to her under circumstances not amounting to first-, second- or third-degree assault between Dec. 15 and Jan.15.JUVENILE CASESBenito Gomez, 17,1107 WillowSt., was sentenced Oct. 1 on one count violation of Uniform Controlled Substances Act-possession of less than 40 grams marijuana. The sentence included 30 days in the Juvenile Justice Center, credit for 30 days served, six months community supervision, 56 hours community service, $100 to crime victims compensation fund, $110 in court costs.
