LOCAL GATHERINGS.A dress form making demonstration was held at 2:30 o’clock Tuesdayafternoon at the Grange Hail at Galena, open to the women of the neighborhood, and another demonstration will be held at 1:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon at St. Mary’s of the Knobs’ School hall.Watler Schroeder has been granted a divorce in the Circuit Court by, Judge John M. Paris from Mrs. MaryW. Schroeder on the ground of cruel treatment. He was given the custodyof their son Floyd Schroeder, age 1 year. They were married September 20, 1917, and separated July 26, 1921.Guy Longest, postmaster at English since April 1914, has tendered his resignation to the Postoffice Department. He asks that the resignation become effective with the close of business on December .31, 1921. Th press of business is given as the cause for the resignation.
