Police blotterWarrants pending against local manA 37-year-old Kokomo man was admitted to psychiatric care Saturday morning after he allegedly used a handgun to abduct his wife,Jack L. Ferrell, address unavailable, was involuntarily admitted to Howard Community Hospital’s mental health center. Police said warrants are pending against Ferrell for criminal con-finement and criminal recklessness.Ferrell was placed in psychiatric care by order of Howard Superior Court Judge Dennis Parry.Police said Ferrell waited for his wife to enter the Howard Community Hbspital parking lot at approximately 3 a.m. Saturday. When she got in her car, he allegedly entered the vehicle andpointed a handgun at her, Police did not release the woman’s name.According to reports, Ferrell made his wife drive to their home. Ferrell later threatened her with a knife and repulsed her attempts to leave the residence.His wife was allowed to leave the home at about 6:30 a.m., police said.Traffic stop results in chargesA driving violation led to additional charges Thursday night against Robert D. Westall, 61, 321 W.
