Ulysses Grant Sutherlin, pastor of the Park f'hriHtian chareh.Mrs. Sutherlin alleges in her complaint that her husband had treated her cruelly and inhumanly; he had criticised her actions in a disagreeable manner; had made a practice of finding fault with her in every way aorf had abused her, goi ng bo far as to choke her. He hsa property she avers, to the value of $2,000, and she asks that proper alimony be allowed her and that she be given cnetody of the child born of the marriage, a daughter, | eighth months old. The parties were married December 25, 1900, and they separated last WednesdayWhile the Rev Mr. Sutherlin wao’at* tending the annual convention of the Christian churches in Charlestown, Mrs. Sutherlin had the divorce papers prepared and tiled, after which she left for Clark county, to make her home with relatives Mr. Sutherlin was appointed pastor of the Park Christian ehurch about a yearago.If the allegations of the ‘wife’s com-plsint lie true, she is entitled to a divorceand should not be compelled to live with the defendant unless he treats her dif ferently.
