Mrs. Cook, in com puny with iter brother-m-law, Leslie 1\ Bird, of Silver Grove, drove in an automobile to Georgetown Sunday to get her daughter, six years of age, and her sou, three, who had been placed by her husband, from whom she bad separated, in the custody of his sister, Mrs. Blanche Stewart, in Georgetown.While they were driving tbinugh the streets of Georgetown, they saw Mis. Stewart with the children returningfrom Sunday school. Stopping the automobile, Mrs. Cook demanded her children. The little girl ran to the automobile, and was taken in by Mrs. Cook, but Mrs. Stewait refused togive up the boy and u sen 111 a between the women over the possession of the child ensued, creating quite an excitement on tin* streets, but Mrs. Stewaitretained possession ot the child.Several months ago Mrs. Cook separated from her husband, who is a freight conductor on I lit* Southern rail road.
