The body was taken direct to City cemetery for Interment, where services were conducted by Rev. H. M. Chittenden. The pallbearers were J. J. Brenholt, C. W. Milnor, 0. H, Smiley, U. S. Nixon, of Alton, A. A, Paxson and H. P. Brewer of St. Louis. Before her death Mrs. Fox had made a request thnt these gentlemen Berve as ber pallbearers, and she had alsoasked that she be taken to Altonfor burial. The request that she be brought here was natural as her j family In Alton was one of the old-ost ones, and hr«d been very promt* nent In the early days. She was the last of her family, ail of them having died before her. Her fatherconducted the Piasa house In Alton, where the Beall mining tool plant is located, a very pretentious hotel in the early days of Alton.
