Burland Held as a BigamistMissoula. May 24.—(AF)—Gilbert Burland is held in jail here under charges of bigamy: his wife, Elizabeth, has brought divorce proceedings, and Daisy Songer, 16-vcar-old Ronan Indian girl, to whom Burland is alleged to have become married, is in thr gifts’ vocational school at Helena.Burland, when arraigned, took the customary lime to enter his plea. Hoj told County Attorney D. X. Mason] that his wife, Elizabeth, had filed divorce papers several yrar^ ago and that he was under the impression he was not married when he appeared here and obtained the license to marry Daisy Songcr. The girl is said to have given her age at that time as 18 years.
