LEGAL NOTICESTo the Honorable the Justices ot the Supreme Judicial Court,next to be hoiden at Boston within and fur the county ofSuffolk, on the first Tuesday of March, eighteen hundredand fifty-two. . „ .1 AURA M. STACKPOLE, of Boston, in the County of 1A Suffolk, wife of John H. Stackpole. now or late of Fair-haven in the County of Bristol, respectfully shows, that her maiden name was Laura M. Thompson, that she was married to the said John II. on or about the fifteenth day of September. eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, at Treeuiantle, Swan River, Western Australia; that she and her said husband soon after, to wit, on or about the. last of September aforesaid, came to Fairhaven in the County of Bristol, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and thereafterwards, and until on or about the first day o» January', eighteen hundred and forty five, lived together as husband and wife, and there-afterwarda at New Bedterd in said County; that she has ever been faithful to her marriage obligations; but that the said John H. being wholly regardless of the same has for five consecutive years, and for a longer space of time, to wit. tor the space of time between the first dav of April, eighteen hundred and forty-six, to the date hereof, wilfully and utterly deserted vour libellant without her consent. ...And your libellant further represents that the said John H., totally regardless of his marriage obligations as aforesaid, which obligations on her part have been most faithfully kept and observed, on or about the first d.ty of April, eighteen hundred and forty-six, and at divers and sundry tunes between said first dav of April, and the f rst day of April, eighteen hundred and forty nine, committed the crime of adultery with sundrv divers women, wh«»se na nes are to y* ur libellant unknown, living in Woahoo and upon one of the Sandwich islands, and particularly, in Honolulu, the seat ot Government ol said Islands.Wherefore your libellant prays that a div rce from the bonds of matrimony between her and the said John H. may be decreed by this Court, and that she may be allowed to assume her maiden name as aforesaid; and that such further provisions should be made lor her out of the estate of the said John H., her husband as atoresaid, as to the Court may seem proper.
