The grant/loan package would pay for a comprehensive overhaul of the town’s water and sewer lines. Acquesta is doing tests now for his report and designs. The application will becompleted in about six months, hesaid.At the Town Board meeting Tuesday night, the board:• Learned that town workers are installing a new water line on the east end of Deans Street.• Raised public works director Glynn Whitley’s salary from $10 to $10.75 an hour. Whitley has obtained his wastewater treatment license. He still works under part-time supervisor John BoykinJr/s well license.• Authorized the town clerk tobuy a $1,535 computer program for water bills.
