CHARGES STATUTORY CRIMEEdward Hawkins Wants Divorce on the Ground of Adultery.Edward llawkirw, by bis attorney*, Smith Jt Lewis, ha« filed a petition in the office of County Clerk Phillips, ask-iu^r a divorce from Elizabeth Hawkins.The petition aHeges that the plaintiff, Edward Hawkins, and the defendant, Elizabeth Hawkins, formerly Elizabeth Leason, were married in Ottumwa in February, 1807, and that they have three children, Goldie, aged 12; Jason, aged 10; and Cinderilla, aged 8 years, all of whom arc still living and residing with their mother, the defendant, in Ottumwa.The cause for action, as alleged by the plaintiff, is that defendant is guilty of adultery.The plaintitr concedes that the defendant may have the care and custody of the children at her request but is to have no claim upon plaintiff for alimony or for the support of the children while they are in her care and keeping.
