Parshall has been granted a divorce by Judge A. S. Blair. .The case was decided at noon today after the attorneys had spent several ■ hours in presenting their arguments to the court By the term's of the decree handed down Mrsr Parshall is granted the custody of the couple's^ . daughter. Effie, a girl of nine yean. / The defendant and husband. William Parshall, is granted permission1 to visit the child at all reasonable times, may go out with her, but shall not an* noy the mother by long continued or frequent visits. The father may vol* untarily contribute to the support of . the child says the decree. The decision Is subject to future change* or modification as the occasion demands.The Parshall contest has been a lengthy affair, the case being opened Wednesday morning. The time has been occupied with the testimony of Mr. and Mrs. Parshall, both of whom have been on the stand for hours. A night session of court was held last, night in order to collect all evidence and leave the morning open for pleas of the attorneys. J. Rudolph was closing his ' argument for the defendant. The mother, accompanied by her daughter and several friends, occupied placesin the court room, and the father sat on the opposite side of the chamber. While addressing the court Mr. Rudolph produced a letter which he sta- ; ted had been written, by the daughter Effle’to her father urging him to effeot some agreement with her mother in order that they might be re-united. C. J. Rudolph, representing Mr. Parshall, is preparing the necessary papers for the appeal, and notice has aids ready been served.
