MRS. J. H. WILSON ASKS DAMAGES, FOR TARDY DELIVERANCE OF MESSAGE. On the claim that a message convey ing information about the ilness of a relative was not delivered in proper time, Mrs. J. H. Wilson has filed a suit in the district court again at the West ern Union Telegraph Co. for $1,520. The plaintiff avers that on August 1, 1912, her daughter sent her a mes sage from Emporia, Kas., telling of the critical illness of a relative and advis ing her to come at once. The claim 1s made that the message was not delivered until the evening of August 2, too late for her to go to Emporia In time to see the relative alive. A number of divorce petitions have been acted on by Judge F. M. Hunter during the spare moments of the Wa pello county district court. Anna M. Green has been allowed $50 temporary alimony, $25 for attorney's fee, $25 for sulh costs and $25 a month until her plea for divorce from Albert Green is heard. Bertha Cline has been divorced from George Cline on the grounds of desertion. A decree has been ordered in the divorce action brought by George Miller against Sadie Miller. Lillie von Draska has been given a de cree against Charles von Draska, and the custody of their daughter, Phyllis, is given to her. Cruel and inhuman treatment gained Lottie Shelley a di vorce from John Shelley. She was re stored to her maiden name of Lottie Bean. Elizabeth Jackson has been granted $40 attorney's fees and $25 fult money on her showing against William P. Jackson. A judgment in the sum of $142.50 and attorneys’ fees of $51.42 has been given to W. S. Parks in his suit against Mary L. Reed. Mitchell Sea burg must pay the reporter costs of $5.00, according to the record entry.
