The E. W. Bowen Co. bank of this city has his note due next month for $500,with Aaron Musselman as security which was delivered to the bank by Mr. Musselman to renew a matured note. The State Bank at Camden holds his $500 note which is also endorsed by Aaron Musselman. The endorsement was made in the presence of witnesses. The balance of his indebtedness consists of sale notes with Aaron Musselman as endorser as follows: One of $363, held by the Citizens National bank of this city, between $300 and $400 by the First National bank of Flora, two notes of $95 and $105 in the Bright National bank and about $160 in the Loan and Trust Company of Flora.While Mr. Musselman’s name on some or all of these sale notes may be forgeries, the banks will suffer no loss as the parties who sold and therefore endorsed the notes are all responsible.Duncan is the son of Ward and Clara Duncan who were former residents of this city. His father was formerly a school teacher and latterly held a position in the Citizens National bank here. The boy comes from excellent familyby birth and married into one of the most highly respected families in this county and the many friends of both hope that what seems to be a blot on his reputation and a disgrace to his friends and relatives will be effaced.
