Seminar on Negro, Methodist Church“The Negro and the Methodist Church” will be the subject of a seminar at the First Methodist Church in Conners-ville Sunday, March 10, beginning at 2:30 p. m.The open forum discussion is sponsored by the Greensburg District Commission on Christian Social Concerns of t h e Methodist Church.The Rev. George Rice, University Methodist Church, Indianapolis, will speak on the national convention of Methodist Negro laymen and ministers held in Cincinnati recently, to which he was a delegate.The Rev. W. R. Kell, FirstMethodist Church, Martinsville, and a former Lawrenceburg minister, will speak on the history and future of the Negro in the Methodist Church.Negroes, who make up about BOO,000 of the more than 10 mil lion members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, have just recently started to merge with thormerly all-white conferencesAn open discussion will fol low.
