Pres. Wilcox, the well known musician, by his _ attorney, P. D. West, lias commenced suit in the circuit court asking that he be given a divorce from his wife, Edith Ray Wilcox. The allegations of the complaint are'sensational, alleging cruel and In-fj human treatment on her part.The plaintiff and defendant were married on June ,26, 1902, her maiden 3 name being Rlekels. He charges that [ she has been frequently abusive to him and that on various occasions she has struck and beaten him, calling him vile names and making life with her unendurable.At different times during the last two years, he says, she has left him and their son and remained away from home for weeks at a time. Frequent-y she gets on a rampage and breaks* •. •the furniture around home; and recently she sold quite a large portion of it.r • wOne one occasion lately she packed .up the goods of the plaintiff and son and ordered them to leave the house -and never to return. She told plaintiff to get a divorce.He says she is th€f 8wner of a house and lot in Auburn, valued at $1,200.' He asks the custody of the son, alleging. that she is an unfit person to have care of him. •
