A former Laurel High basketball star met a tragic fate Thursday evening while playing the sport he loved. He was playing as a member of the Bomb Squad team in the center’s league.Despite the efforts of two of his teammates — Jeremy Tubbs and Brett Doneluck — to revive him with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Hoffman died in Jameson Hospital.
