Steward Montgom-| ery, 72, of 58 Silver Street, diedat 11 p.m. yesterday at the BidaConvalescent Home in Oxford.She ,was born September 17. 1884 in Plymouth, the daughter of Giles H. and Adaresta (Huntley), Steward. On December 25 1909 in Whitesboro she married Daniel D. Montgomery, who died February 19, 1947.A member of the First Baptist Church of Norwich, Mrs. Montgomery was a deaconess of the church, and a member of its Phil-athea Class, cancer dressing group and the Women’s Federation Prior to the dissolution of the Baptist Church of Plymouth she was active in church circles there. Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery had been engaged in farming at Plymouth until they moved to Norwich in 1946.Surviving are a son, George E1I dif ci sun, ueurge Montgomery of R. D. 2, Norwich four nieces, Mrs. Fern Finch, Mrs Mina Blossom, Mrs. Nellie Loomis and Mrs. Eva Rundall, all o] Coxsackie; several cousins, amonj whom is Mrs. Grace Montgomerj of West Rush, N. Y.; five grahd-children, Victor, Arlene, Georgia Henry and David Montgomery all of Norwich. Another son. Gilbert, died in 1920.3tFuneral services will be heli at 2 p.m. Monday from the Firs Baptist Church in Norwich, thlt; Rev. Paul R.
