All union workmen who are out of employ-ment leave their names at this bureau once a week and the craft at which they work.H. Ii, Purvlne was appointed manager of the bureau and he maintains an office at labor headquarters, No. 119 West Ninth street. Telephones have been installed. All employers who desire workmen may call at the office and obtain the names of men who are unemployed at the time. The bureau does away with much unnecessary work and is of benefit to both the employer and the employes.The plan has been followed In many other cities and has proven of benefit. Local union men believe that the bureau will meet with success here.
