DEATH IN LONDON.MUs. WEBSTER WRDDRKHURNwWe regret to announce the death of Mrs. Catherine Webster-Wedderburn,the wife of Inspector A. A. H. Webster Wedderburn, lieputy-Inspector General of PoKce, in this island. The sad event occurred in London on Wed-. nesday the fith tnst.Mrs. Wedderburn, it will be remembered wcs seriously injured by the earthquake on the 14th of JanuaryO last. She was at her residence* at the® earner of Sutton and Hanover Streetson that memorable afternoon and the walls of the building and other debris fell on her, and she was practically buried in the ruins. When Mrs. Wedit derburn was taken out of the buildingf i she w immediately conveyed to the inf Public Hospital, where she received tIk- b* m of treatment. She remained at the Hospital for some time, but s- owing to the serious way in which she ie had been injured, her progress was M j sorm what slow, and she was afterward* I*.moved to the Marine Hardens.m On the 23rd of May, Mrs. Wedder-** burn, accompanied by deputy Inspector n ‘Heneral Wedderburn, left the islandin the steamer Port Kingston, the in-i-;tfntionof Mr. Wedderburn being to j.jt ti e his wife to the London Hospitalwhere she w ould be placed under theit X r i.v.s •*-ml receive special treatment (from oW of tie* distinguished physi-p f ems of the Institution.
