. WAY BACK WHEN' I(Courtesy of George Barnowskl, Denmark)ALONG about 1915 there was organized a baseball team at Cooperstown that had more or less of a county reputation and made a fine record for the little village. Personally we do not know just how many games the team lost or whether they secured any sort of title or not, but anyway the boys had a lot of fun and developed a first class amateur ball team. The members are pretty well scattered now.The personnel and present addresses of the players, reading frogi left to right, follow: “Bill” Krueger, TwoRivers; (Ur. Alfred Just, Manitowoc; Otto Baum, Two Rivers; Ben Bartelme and Dr. William Just, pitched, both of Manitowoc; Louis Holly, the catcher, deceased, last address Milwaukee; “Pete” Krueger, Two Rivers; John Conrad, Eaton; Charles Wanish, Denmark; Rev. August Dusold, manager, Lodi; Oscar Baum, Two Rivers, and John Fowley, mascot, Chicago.
