But so Far Has Only Got S2 of theMpney---Southside Notes.A tale of domestic woe comes to the surface today which demonstrates again the how the lower strata regard matrimony and its obligations. In this case a glass man whose first name is Charley, who is reported to have a wife at Muneie, became a boarder at the home of Taylor Button, in the east end. Button came here from Winchester with his wife, two children and one R. FI. Jackson, better known as “Red Elk,” the Indian herb faker. Taylor Button says that now he cAunot enter his home, being threatened with death by the frisky Charley, who has become enamored of Maggie Button, the alleged wife of Taylor, and stands guard with a shotgun. Maggie Button will be recognized as the female charmer of the Indian. She often visited his quarters on the Southside and on the occasion of one of her visits some South-■p *siders, knowing the lay of the ground, entered at night and turned everything topsy turvey. The strange part of the affair is that “Charley,” with the red belt, offered Taylor Button ten dollars and a bike for his wife and Taylor says he received two dollars on the bargain, but now Charley refuses to pay the other eight. Button says that Charley gives as a reason for not completing the bargain that an attorney advised him that Taylor’s wife had a right to take in a star boarder. Mr. Button would like to go home but the double barrel gun is too much to go against. And iu the meantime where is Red? In the country after other game.
