Edward BarreUeALTOONA - Edward Pipie” Barrelle, 76, of 1100 Eleventh St., Apt. 812, Altoona, died Wednesday, June 16,1993, at 6:04 a.m. at the James E. Van Zandt Veterans Administration Medical Center in Altoona, following an extended illness.He was born April 15, 1917, in Smokerun, the son of Louis and Barbara (Mahotz) Barrelle.He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona, and was an army veteran of W.W. II. He retired as driller from Johnson Strip Mine Company in 1981.He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Miller, along with three children: John of Elizabethtown, Cindy Hill of Altoona and Edward Jr. of Loganville, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona, with the Rev. Ralph W. Hamer officiating. Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.The family suggests memorial contributions be ’made to the St. James Lutheran Church, Altoona, Pa. 16602,
