WAY BACK WHEN» A *-°T of interesting local county history has cropped out in connection with the printing i, of the tfbove old time threshing engine picture again reproduced herewith.It seems that the engine which was a Robinson engine of 10 H. P. made in Richmond, f- Indiana. The separator was named the Bonanza and at about the time the picture was / made the engine almost caused the death of Emil Krejcie, a well known engineer. While it i'. was being moved from one farm to another the machine toppled over on the Green Bay road• between Cooperstown and Maribe! Caves and Krejcie was pinned underneath between a• boulder and the crank wheel. He came within an inch of being crushed to death, so that• the picture Is of greatest Interest to him and his family, as a memento of his narrow escape.'' tt Is recalled that the engine crew at the time: Messrs. Frank Rezek. his uncle Joseph Yanda. Jos. •iKovarlk. Mnrlln Krummel and Joseph Suchan. made heroic efforts to save the life of Krejcie and after '• colling neighbors succeeded In lifting Iho engine ond rescuing Krejcie. All of the crew nro now deceased except Suchan who resides at Oconto Falls.Those who assisted In the rescue were: Frank Shlnmnek. Anton Hucek. Mott fncfell. Moses Allie. e IC. Steinhrechor.
