Other CasesBecause, i he asserts, his wife's manner was dictatorial and her voice rasping, and because she entered unannounced the studio where he was teaching elocution and later threatened to kill one of his prettiest pupils, Virgil Pinkley, former instructor of elocution at the College of Music, Cincinnati, is seeking in a local court a divorce from his wife, Louise. Pinkley. Mrs. Pinkley is contesting the action, the hearing of which occupied the greater portion of yesterday, and willbe concluded today. iThe couple was married in 1881, and it was only a few years later, says Pinkley, that his wife began opening his letters without his permission, reading a different meaning into the wording than was meant by the writers. While he was employed at the Cincinnati college as instructor he said his wife frequently entered the class room, greatly to the embarrassment of himself and his pupils. On one occasion, he added, he detected his wife walking in the park near the college carrying a revolver and threatening to kill one of the woman pupils.“Tell us about that stage incident,'* suggested Pinkley’s attorney.“We were preparing for an amateur performance and the rehearsal was in progress. replied Pinkley. My wife came in, and in keeping with her dictatorial manner and rasping voice demanded the stage for herself. She got it.Pinkley said he has lived with his wife only about three months in the last five' years, during which time he has been doing platform work, being driven from home on account of hi? wife’s unfounded accusations.Mrs. Pinkley entered a general denial to all her husband’s statements.The following decrees wrere granted:H. Crane from Bessie Crane, Florence E. Ohley from Henry C. Ohley, Robert A. Brackett from Frances Brackett, May Johnson from John H. Johnson.. Olive L. Patten from William W. Patten, Eugenia A. Viles from Homer W. Viles, Kate F. Holmes from William E. Holmes and Mary F. Tracy from O. W. Tracy.Four suits were filed: Adam Layer against Emma W. Layer, Belle Holt against Pressly Holt, Cavrie E. Sepulveda against Philip R. Sepulveda and J. C. Gullinger against Else A. Gul-linger.
