Gardiner in Marin Superior Courtyesterday.W. O. Weissich. one of Janet Jones's attorneys, testified legal fees alone for the plaintiff, who has charged her millionaire San j I^eandro husband with mental cruelty, amount to $55,000.In addition, he said, 21.623 was spent for investigation seeking evidence of adultry by Jones and whereabouts of suspected hidden financial assets.Weissich said Mrs. Jones of 16 Marina Way in San Rafael, also had to pay $2,300 in income tax which her husband normally paid. He said Janet has nofunds.Under sharp and sometimes geemingly unbelieving questioning by Oakland attorney Franklin Stark, representing Jones, Weissich testified the “minimum going rate for attorneys in Marin County is $250 daily in court, and $35 an hour outsideof court.He said a private detective Charles Young of Castro Valley, participated in the alleged adultery and hidden asset investigation.Weissich admitted thatlaalleged invitation by Jones tospend an evening in an East Bay motel.
