Man Who Killed Self !PICHER, May 31.—Walter Neff, 32years old, better known as Skip* Neff, a well known Pieher police character, ended his life here Thursday, night shortly after 9 o’clock by swallowing a quantity of poison.Neff’s act was attributed to domestic trouble. Mrs. Neff recently filedsuit for divorce.Neff’s body was discovered lying on the porch of the Gordon boarding house, near Fourth and Picher streets where he had fallen after taking the poisin. He was rushed to the American hospital in the Green ambulance. Health resulted shortly after the arrival at the hospital.Neff was said to have been drinking Thursday anti to have called at his wife’s home several times in aneffort to effect a reconciliation. Mrs.Neff refused and summoned an oficer.Besides his wife Mrs. Inez Neff and a 10-year-old stepdaughter, Irene, Neff is survived by four sisters and two brothers. The brothers and sisters are: Mrs. Kate Tuck, Joplin;Mrs. Emma Homes of Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Irene Knott, Ranger, Tex.; Mrs. Belle Penan, Walnut Grove, Mo., and Joe and Jeff Neff of Joplin.The funeral will he held from the chapel of the Green undertaking parlors Sunday aternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Glenn E. Tilton, pastor of the First Methodist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Miami cemetery.To Be Buried Today
