was at worK yesterday as usual.THREATENED TO KILL.August Weidiich Calls on His Father-in-Law With a Gun.August Weidiich, a young mau of 26years, wlio lives at the intersection of Fifthand Sycamore streets, created terror at thehome of his father-in-law, L. G. Schaeffer,President of the American Soap Company,on Wednesday last by flourishing loadedfirearms and threatening to kill everybodyin sight. Weidiich was married not long ago to a sixteen-year-old daughter of Mr. Schaeffer without the knowledge of the young lady’s parents. She since then has refused to live with him, and he has sent threatening letters to her repeatedly, stating it to be his intention to kiii her. He observed Memorial Day by going out to Mr. Schaeffer's home, at Clifton avenue and Concord street, and making every indication that ho intended to carry out his threats. Mr. Schaeffer went to the office of the rierk of the Police Court yesterday and had a warrant issued for the arrest of the young man on the charge of disorderly conduct. Weidiich is employed as a manufacturer of pens in the Neave Building.Weidiich is the young man who, nearly a year ago, created such sensations in prominent German circles, under the guise of a noble, when he was known as Baron von Buttler Schroffenberg, and past member of the German army. The story goes that he proposed marriage to four young ladies in as many weeks, one of whom he barely had been Introduced to on the night he made the proposal.
