^SST At a Union Convention for Monroe county, held at Bloomington, on Saturday, the following ticket was nominated:For Ilepresentative—Andrew W. Keeves.For Sheriff—Michael Gabbert.For Treasurer—Johnson McCullough., For Coroner—James M. IIowe.For Commissioner—Ervin Grimes.The IkCjtuOlican says:After the transaction of other business the meeting was addressed by M. C. Hunter, Esq., and lion. James Hughes. The addresses were spirited and pointed, and received the hearty applause ul the audience. The latter gentleman was particularly severe on that class of persons who are endeavoring to stir up party strife among the people, in preference to a harmonious elfort on the parlot loyal citizensto sustain 1 he Government, and put down lreason and rebellion. The Judge is ardent in sup port of the Union,ami is domg good service in the cause in different parts ot the Slate.
