BACKYARD HEROS DAYOn First Friday July 6th, Carol Atkinson Master of Ceremony gave a delightful and reminiscent presentation on celebrating the history of our County and Bay County.In her presentation she asked members who had graduated from High School in Bay County (separating them by each decade) to stand up, and took them on a trip down memory lane with “remember when ? ”At the end of the presentation she namedJuly 6th 2001 “Backyard Heros” Day. Carol would like to thank her personal Backyard Hero, Eleanor Lewis who almost single-handedly was responsible for Girl Scouts in Bay County — Camp Eleanor was named after her.
