ATING-; ARRESTEDUpon entering a plea of not guilty to a charge of assault and 'battery filed against him by his ■wife, Grace Mattie, and Joe .Duchesne, Leoimrd Mattie was held for trial tomorrow morning at 0 o’clock before Justice J C Coster,’ Mattie is charged with having attacked his wife and her companion after their return from the carnival grounds Saturday evening and proceeded to beat them up. He has been separated from his wife for several months, It is said.
