Clara Hodge, hiswife, declared that she was forced to leave him because he would not support her and that he had attacked her inMilwaukee and threatened tokill her. She says tha» the intervention of two other womenalone saved her life.Judge E. C. Higbee declaredthat his place of residence bad not been firmly established and decided to hold the case over until September. Not havingbe^n constantly in one county,it is possible that he may not be able to establish a place of residence. He formerly ran out of North La Crosse, but has been transferred severaltimes.
