According to the complaint filed by Attorney Othello Smith, the couple married March 26 1881, and separated September 1. 1916. He cbarges cruel and inhuman treat~ ment and avers his wife frequently cursed him in the presence of others.In the divorce complaint filed by Attorney J. A. West, Ralph J. Hatfield cbarges that his wife, Helen I*., deserted him at least four times during their married life, from April 16, 1916, until July 11, 1919. He claims his wife refused to cook Us meals or keepthe house clean and frequently cursed him. He asks the custody of their two and one-half year old son, War*ren.
