5R0UIDS FOR DIVORCEPapers in the divorce suit of IdaEberie vs. Wm Eberlt have been filed with the clerk of the district court. Mrs. Eberie alleges desertion, habitual ‘drunkenness and cruel treatment as grounds for action. They were mar-; rird in Fairplay, Wis., on Aug. 4, 189a,I and resided together until Aug. 6, 1900,! when he deserted her. She states that i previous to August, 1900, he had as-vaulted and beaten her on numerous occasions and had threatened to kill her and their three children. He drove them out of their home in East Dubuque and she was forced to find refuge with her mother in this city. The husband called at her mother’s home one night and broke in the door, threatening to kill her, and w hen he could not find her In the hou-e he cut his own throat, but survived. He also at another time threw hot water upon their little daughter.
