SPEERAlta M. Stisser, a farmer of Speer, Peoria county, has abandoned his wife and child because his helpmate had an uneven temper and has quit the simple life to tend bar at the saloon of C. D. Firth in South Bar-tonville. His wife, Mrs. Eva Stisser, has swore out a warrant for the arrest of her hubby in Justice Schofield’s court. Stisser was arrested and arraigned before the squire June 28, but a continuance was takca until Monday morning. Stisser owns an eighty-acre farm at Speer and is said to be worth $25,000. The couple had been married for a number of years, and have one son, Hiram Stisser, 12 years of age.—Peoria Journal.
