At Memorial Hall . , .Lions Battle Haskell Indians Tonight in Conference TussleDoug Landrith s Jasper County Junior college Lions will be seeking to even their conference record as they host Haskell Indian Institute at Memorial Hall, highlighting area cage action to-night.The Lions are 2-3 in conference play while sporting a 3-7 over-all record. Haskell has dumped Kansas City and Fair-bury in league action while dropping decisions to Highland and Kemper.Tonight's game will be the final outing before the semester break for the Lions. Their next home game is set for January 28 with Kemper.Several hundred fans turned out Tuesday night to witness the Lions thump Fairbury, 79-48. and another good crowd is expected for tonight’s game which is set for 7:30 o’clock.Two seventh grade teams from the Joplin Boys’ Club will play at halftime of the Junior college game tonight. Boys’ Club teams will ^lay at half-time for all remaining Junior college games.Boys playing tonight are:Mustangs: Jack Collingsworth, Kent Hollingsworth, Gary Hood. Randy Richard, Paul Powell, Jim Yust. Terry Taylor and Donnie Dicharry. Coach is Lewis Gutierrez.Yellow Jackets: RobertI c IRoehm, Ricky Paulk, Bruce Hodson, Mike Sumners, Johnny McCelland, Terry Goff, Joey Kitto, Delbert King and Bob Broihertou. Coach is Don Hodson.The Joplin high school Eagles will also play host to a cage foe tonight as they meet Lebanon in a nonconference game set for 8 o’clock at Joplin high school.The Eagles, breaking a three-game losing streak Monday night dumping Fort Scott, 66-52, will take a 7-5 record into tonight’s contest. Visiting Lebanon sports an 8-8 season mark.Tonight’s contest is the first of five straight home games for the Eagles who will host Fayetteville next Tuesday night.Dale Heimer’s Ozark Bible college Ambassadors will host Lincoln Christian college tonight in an 8 o’clock game scheduled to be played on the hardwoods j at North Junior high school.The Ambassadors, 5*5 for the season, will be attempting to crack a two-game losing streak tonight, losing to Bethany Naza-rene college, 93-58, and Crowder College, 126-61.In the only other Joplin gam# scheduled for tonight, McAuley regional high school will travel to Diamond for a Little Eight Con* ference match which couJd determine the outcome of the league’s championship.Diamond has lost one conference game this season while sporting a 5-1 conference mark. Jim Wyatt’s McAuIcy Warriors have also been dealt a single conference defeat, losing to Duenwcg, 53-48. The Warriors handed Didmond their only con*terence defeat earlier this season, 66-39.
