He Deserts His Family for OneNance Hanks.Martha J. Smith,'of Sherwood, has filed a petition in probate court for divorce from Erastus V. Smith. They were married in Defiance, Oct. 24, 18fi7, and have three minor children, Joseph M., born Feby. 5, ’81, Nellie E., born Sept. 24, ’8~, and Estella, born April 4,’89. The defendent is charged with ; failure to support and desertion. It is charged in the petition that since April : 24, 1894, Erastus has been running after Hilda Leiter, of this city, better known as Nancy Hanks and that in consequence his family has suffered and the plaintiff has been without a mate. Mrs. Smith wants divorce and alimony. D.F. Open lander, of Sherwood, forplain-iff.
