STAIB - Clair, 82, Johnstown, died Jan. 2, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 2, 1926, inJohnstown, son of Mark and(Antal) Staib.Preceded in death by parents; by wife,Dorothy, in 1998; and daughter, Barbara Decker. Survived by children: James, married to Andrea Rogers, and Patricia, married to Michael Wheeler, all of Virginia; Christine, married to David Layton; son-in-law, Kevin Decker; brother, Mark, married to Audrey Staib; grandchildren: Noey Staib; Justin and Lucas Wheeler; Collin and Aidan Layton; Erin, married to Michael Choi; and Sean Decker; and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Noah and Laurelei Choi. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School, an Army master sergeant of the Korean Conflict and a 20-year reserve member. Lifelong member and officer of the Harmony Singing Society and longtime member of Visitation BVM Parish, where funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Interment, Grandview Cemeterv.%
