Sutton received a telegram from the clerk of the Supreme Court of Missouri stating that the case of Mary J. Crenshaw vs. Joel V. Crenmhaw et al had been decided in favor of his clients who were the defendants in the case. The case involved the title of 526 acres of land t- located in the eastern part of Lin-d coin county and worth approximatelya $40,000. The plaintiff, Mary J. Cren-1, shaw, is the divorced widow of Wil-e liam N. Crenshaw, deceased, and the e defendants, Joel V. Crenshaw et al, i- are the heirs of Wiliam N. Crenshaw, d The plaintiff, Mary J. A settlement of thedrl-, the divorce, a deedproperty rights of the parties was tempted to be made and a divorce was granted. In the divorce case the late Senator George T. Dunn and d Honorable K. H. Norton represented v the parties. Upon the granting ofw as made pursuant to a previous agrement by which Mrs. Crenshaw relinquished to her former husband, William N. Crenshaw, her dower right in all of Mr. Crenshaw's property.
