Sterrich’u Jfc-ccnllftrltics.The post-mcrtem examination ol the body of the late lamented Wni, Merrick, who died suddenly in his city on the 25th. of January last, has developed one or two rather peculiar facta about his an atomy. For instance, his eyebrows were heaviest immediately above the nose instead of over the eyes. They extended in an unbroken line clear across the face. From the end of his nose'to the top of the forehead where the hair began wae a distance of bat fuur inches, ah unusually low forehead accounting for that He was perfectly formed, veiy: symmetrically and' mnscukirly built, each muscle being as hard and solid as wood.- With the hair and whiskers shaved from his head and face, the countenance wears an expression of -fierceness and brutality. When the body was Jftid upon the directing tabte it was discovered fchnt there were apparently but four toes on tbe left foot, the third and fourth having grown together, making a perfectly shaped member ns large or larger tbnn the great too- Upon removing the flesh, however, the bones of each were discovered.
