Mrs. Smock recently sued for divorce, claiming that she had married Smock against her will, fearing disgrace or physical injury at his hands. She left hirp at the first opportunity after the marriage, and he attempted to reclaim her by means of a habeas corpus proceeding, but the court failed to sec that she was being detained at home against her will and refused to grant Die writ.Mrs. Smock told her story.
