An untrue report gained currency last • night that Gilbert Porter had been stricken with paralysis. Mr. Porter was in his place of business at the time of the fire and felt chills coming on. He told his daughter that he was not well, and she assisted him to his room and a physician was summoned. The ailment was pronounced grip. Mr. Porter is able to be about this morning.
