Saturday, at the family home, d which is the former Slaymaker r- Funeral Home, at 523 9th Ave., Erie. The Rev. L. E. Ellison of E. Moline, former Baptist ,e minister at Erie, will officiate 1C Burial will be in the Kingsburv ie Cemetery, Newton Township.1S He was born April 8, 1871 e in a log cabin in Newton Town-y ship, the son of George and i Mary Thompson Slaymaker. He s attended rural schools of New* ton Township, and was a gradu-ate of Worsham College of ’ Mortuary Science, Chicago He married Charlotte Smith s who passed away in 1948. m He married Mrs. Mazie K. e Woleber Osborne, Sept. 4. 1949. e He was a member of the former Newton Township Presby-e terian Church, and attended the e Erie Baptist Church. He was a funeral director in Erie for d 42 years, retiring in 1954. e He is survived by his wife of Erie, four cousins.
