^ipmpson Mauck. a prosperous farmer living neared a divorce from Louisa Mauck. - Both of them are on the shady side of life and bear excellent reputations in their com-munitv.,Married for almost twenty-five years and still clinging to the ghost of his vanished love, it was with feeling that Mr. Mauck took the stand yesterday and told of how his wife’s jealous imagin iugs had made life unbearable' for him. Other neighbors were on the stand. It was adduced that Mrs. Mauck thought her son’s wife had alienated Mr. Mauck’s afflictions. She also told the neighbors that Bhe believed her husband had hid* den in the hay-loft of their farm barn and had tried to kill her by throwing timbers at her head. She also told the neighbors that he had tried to poison her. At another time, wheu Mr. Mauck was stropping his razor to shave, Mrs. Mauck imagined ho was getting ready to cut herthroat. Mr. Mauck is 48 and his (li-^ • •vorced wife i« 50 years of age. The case was brought here on venue from Gibson county.
